     If you do not know how much you an afford for a house, we have included a couple tools to help you.  These tools are a guide and not necessarily the absolute price of a home or the payment you can afford.  Your loan officer will be able to tell you exactly based on your financial situation.

     The first tool is a rule of thumb.  This rule of thumb says that the price of a home that you can afford is an amount that is 2.5 times your gross annual income.  The beauty of this guide is that it is quick and easy.  It can put you in the "ball park" to start your home search.

    The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission, Section 608 of the Act, requires that licensees provide consumers with the Consumer Notice at the initial interview.
